Students Eating On A Budget: Mini Burgers

Who doesn’t love a good burger? But they can get expensive when eating them out at a fast food or restaurant.

Make your own burger at home. Save money and adjust it to your way of eating.

Ingredients:

  • Minced Meat (beef) -250g
  • Half an onion
  • Two cloves of garlic
  • Mozarella cheese
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1/2 Cucumber
  • Mayonnaise
  • Mini burger buns

Method of Preparation:

In a bowl add the minced meat, onion, garlic, salt, black pepper, egg and breadcrumbs. Mix well then take a small amount of the mixture roll into a ball. Take a small cube of mozzarella and put it in the center of the meatball, roll the mixture and flatten it until you get a beef pattie.

Fry the patties 2-3 minutes on each side. As the patties are frying, slice the tomato and the cucumber. Cut the burger buns in half and spread some mayonnaise on each side.

Now assemble the burger by having the burger bun, the pattie, slice of mozzarella, cucumber, tomato and the top burger bun.  Secure with a toothpick.

These are great to make when you have guests or if you like miniature food 😆
