And we are back in session, where there is very limited time and very little money to spend.
Today I want to share a healthy but cheap breakfast. All you will need is:
- 1 Banana (10Ksh)
- 3 Local Oranges (10Ksh per Orange, therefor 30Ksh)
- 1 Lemon/Lime (10Ksh)
- 1 Avocado (20Ksh)
- 1 Tomato(10 Ksh)
- 3 or 4 Slices of Bread (25 Ksh for half a bread)
Total cost will be 105Ksh. (Cost may vary according to location, this is specific to Nairobi, Kenya)
You take the local oranges and lemon and blend them to make juice. (Feel free to add some sugar or honey to make it sweet).
From the avocado you make a paste and spread it on to the bread. You slice the banana and the tomato and place on the slices of bread. (If you are not a fan of tomatoes or bananas, you can always change the topping and make it fun)
And voila! A quick, cheap and most importantly healthy breakfast.
